Many times people feel that it is necessary to have invasive surgery in order to lose weight. While we are not doctors here at Fad Diet TV, the question you should ask yourself is how safe is any surgery. Don’t people die in hospitals? There are all sorts of odds that you open yourself up to when ever you do surgery. Always get a second opinion on whether this really is a good idea. You never know if the doctor performing the surgery is totally unbiased.
Stomach Bands
There are various ways to control the amount of food you can eat. One is to staple your stomach which is a permanent process. The other is to put on something similar to a rubber band. This gives you a smaller volume available for your stomach to fill making you feel full sooner.
Is this a good thing or bad?
Think about this. If you cannot control your eating without a band on your stomach, how do you think you will be able to do it with one? AND…when it is removed, you have lost that full feeling which may come sooner with a banded stomach and you could end up right back where you were in the first place, but now you have the scars from the surgery.
