On Monday we will post the official update for the end of the first 4 weeks. However, today I just had to let you know the big news. Remember post in the last update about having a smaller pair of pants or clothes you plan to wear ready and waiting in your closet? Well today, I decided to get a jump start to see how well things worked out for Fat Dad. I pulled out the one size smaller pants and they slide on comfortably and I wore them all day.
Ongoing Baby Step Approach
One thing I wasn’t sure of when I started this was that it may not appear that I am taking baby steps. In actuality, I am. Keep in mind that I have been exercising on a regular basis even though I had two non-related injuries. My focus was just to get into the habit of doing something every day. Then I added a little more while making small changes in my eating as well. I must say that it is like history repeating itself in that when I did this before I dropped 2 pant sizes in 4 weeks. This time I am focusing on doing things I can do on a regular basis. You know that thing called life? Where you develop habits that you do each day without really thinking about it.
Part of my baby step approach is just to do the little things that can make a difference. I know I tested the work out I used to do twice a day last Saturday just one time. I was shocked at how much energy I expended. I quickly realized that it was not something I could live with for the rest of my life. The simple workouts I am doing are.

Have You Quit Your Diet Yet?

Here we are into the second day of 2009 and the big question is “Have You Quit Your Diet Yet?” Yesterday I went on a rant about resolutions and why they usually don’t work. They are just wishes and no one actually plans to keep them. They are too comfortable where they are.
Following A Strict Diet
Many people change to an extremely rigid diet all at once and their body is not ready for it. In fact, they soon find that they are in a battle with them selves and they usually give up. Don’t believe me? Watch this video I found and then tell me what you think…
Baby Steps Over Drastic Change
It is pretty insane what your body can do when you jump into a diet all at once. That is why we highly suggest a baby step approach. Small incremental changes that you can easily implement will be something that is more life changing over time.
What have you experienced when you first go on a diet? Was it easy to do or were you constantly thinking about the foods that you could not eat? Post your comments and share with the others how you dealt with it.
Until next time…
Stop Making Resolutions

Do you like this post title? Let’s be realistic. Making resolutions is a joke and for the most part a total waste of time. How many are really kept in the first place? Maybe we should rename them and call them New Year’s Wishes or Hopes.
Take Baby Steps Instead
What the heck are you talking about? Baby steps? If you think about it, how did you learn to walk. As a baby, did you just resolve that you were going to do it, stood up, and march across the room? I don’t think so. Baby steps mean that you will decide on a task you want to accomplish and will put forth the necessary effort to accomplish it until it is done.
What Do Babies Do?
They keep doing what they choose to do over and over and over again until they can do it. When they are born, they have no language ability, no way to talk, no way to feed them selves, and no way to take care of them selves. However, through daily trial and error they are able to do these tasks. Who cares if they screw up and look foolish. It’s no big deal.
If you had a baby and it failed to walk on its first few attempts, would you tell them to stop trying. It’s not worth the effort. No way! But what do you tell yourself when you make a decision to eat a calorie rich snack? Oh, I’m so fat. This being healthy stuff won’t work for me. Why am I doing this? And then you give up. Hmmm.
Does This Make Sense?
No, but we continue to program ourself to think that is just the way it is. Yesterday, I saw an advertisement for a diet product we will be reviewing later this year. One of the testimonials made a statement that “you just can’t do it your self. You got to have help.” And of course that help comes in the form of this magic pill.
Don’t Fall For The Lies Of the Diet Industry
The reason the diet industry makes so much money is that they have systematically programmed you into thinking you have no control. Why? Because you cannot be successful. Just look at how fat you are. What if you toss that crappy thinking aside and start taking baby steps.
Announcing The Baby Step Health Management Program
It’s time to think like a baby and a manager. First, create the tenacity of a child that you can be healthy and then manage the process. A baby keeps making multiple attempts and does it over and over until they succeed. A good manager will work with the assets they have to produce the greatest return on investment.
When it comes to your health, you need to manage the process knowing that the end result will take time. Toss the magic pills aside. Here’s an eye opener. Save yourself a ton of money and stop buying false promises. Instead invest in the most important person in the world - YOU.
What’s The Best Approach?
Did you watch the video we had called the Get Up Off Your Ass Program. when you get right down to the nitty gritty of things, it really does work like that. You have to stop eating like an idiot and get up off your ass and do something.
What If I Fail?
Who gives a rip? The only one who is judging you is you. Believe it or not, people really don’t care because they are more concerned about what you think of them. I have proven this over and over. I once broke a large piece off of my front tooth. To me, it appeared to be a large gap. When I called the dentist, it was a week before I could get in. The day I was to go to the dentist, I told my supervisor I had to go to the dentist. He asked me why. I went a whole week and he never noticed a gap in my two front teeth.
It’s Time To Think Differently
Stop thinking like the rest of the world. If that was the best way to do it, then we would all be skinny, sexy, extemely beautiful models. That’s not gonna happen. The truth is when you start thinking differently, you will do things differently, and get a much different result. You will actually make a difference and people will want to know your secret.
What Will You Do?
I know I have ranted a bunch today, but it sickens me to see so many people caught up in the control of letting others think for them. Today is the day you should decide to think for you and approach it like any baby and good manager would.
Now get out there and fall on your face. It is the only way to succeed.
Until Next Time…
