Exercise and Diet

The two most overlooked items in weight loss today. However, when proper put together, they can be very effective. The biggest challenge is getting the right mix for your body. Most people think that they can just follow a standard program without any side effects. That is not always the case.

Check out today’s video. You never know what you might be up against when you go to the gym. That’s why I like to work out at home.

What about you? Have you ever experienced this for real at the gym?

I know I have as I was the person doing it. It seems when you make a drastic change in your eating habits, you body rebels in a big way. My challenge was I was attempting to qualify for the Naval Academy and I had a Commander in the Navy who was my Blue & Gold Officer holding my feet while I did as many sit ups as I could in 60 seconds. Yes, you guessed it. Every sit up was followed by a nice “toot”. After about ten sit ups, the Commander said, “Stop, I think you have passed this test.” Wonder why?

Exercise Tip of the Day

Here’s my tip…don’t let people hold your feet when doing a time trail for sit ups. It’s not a pretty picture and the holder my pass out as you set a new record. :)

What’s story do you have to share about your gym experience? Post it in the comments.

Have You Quit Your Diet Yet?

Here we are into the second day of 2009 and the big question is “Have You Quit Your Diet Yet?” Yesterday I went on a rant about resolutions and why they usually don’t work. They are just wishes and no one actually plans to keep them. They are too comfortable where they are.

Following A Strict Diet

Many people change to an extremely rigid diet all at once and their body is not ready for it. In fact, they soon find that they are in a battle with them selves and they usually give up. Don’t believe me? Watch this video I found and then tell me what you think…

Baby Steps Over Drastic Change

It is pretty insane what your body can do when you jump into a diet all at once. That is why we highly suggest a baby step approach. Small incremental changes that you can easily implement will be something that is more life changing over time.

What have you experienced when you first go on a diet? Was it easy to do or were you constantly thinking about the foods that you could not eat? Post your comments and share with the others how you dealt with it.

Until next time…
